EasyCare Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP)

GAP (Guaranteed Asset Protection) coverage is the one finance product that every new car buyer should consider investing in when purchasing a new vehicle.  In simple terms, GAP coverage takes care of the gap between a low insurance settlement and the actual payoff amount of a auto loan, or lease, when a vehicle is damaged beyond repair.

For instance, let's assume that you decide to purchase a brand new 2010 Honda CRV-EX-L from Honda of Hayward Honda.  The OTD (out the door) price of this vehicle may be $22,500.  Let's assume that you decide to place $1,500 as a down payment for this vehicle and you finance the remaining balance of $21,000.  Unexpectedly, five months after purchasing your new vehicle, you are involved in an automobile accident which causes State Farm (your insurance company) to declare your vehicle totaled.  Because your new car is a depreciating asset, Allstate offers you a firm settlement of $18,000 for your 5 month old vehicle.  This leaves you with a gap of $3,000 that must be repaid to your lending institution to settle your existing car loan.  Easy Care's GAP coverage will pay this difference to your lien holder, including up to $1000 of your insurance deductible, to settle your obligations with your lien holder.

PrimaryCare

PrimaryCare is a step up from the basic PowerCare level of protection.  In addition to protecting a vehicle from the costly repairs to the drive line components of a vehicle, PrimaryCare also protects some of the other more complex components found in today's vehicle (i.e. heating / cooling systems and fuel systems).

Cal-Tex Protective Coatings (ResistAll) 

ResistAll is the leader in professionally applied and warrantied automotive protection products.  ResistAll has a family of products designed to  protect and extend the life of your investment.  ResistAll is applied to the exterior and interior of your vehicle to protect your investment from a host of potentially troublesome worries.  For instance, the exterior of your vehicle will be protected from weather induced fading and loss of gloss, as well from external damage from hard water stains, acid rain, tree sap, bird droppings, and insects.

LoJack Stolen Vehicle Recovery System 

LoJack is the worldwide leader in stolen vehicle recovery.  LoJack is the only system that is used by police to recover your stolen vehicle before serious damage can be done to your vehicle.  LoJack simply works in the following manner.  First, the LoJack unit is hidden in your vehicle by a certified technician and the unit is registered in the LoJack database.  Only the certified technician that installed the LoJack knows the location of this device.  Once a customer reports a vehicle theft to the police, the police activate the LoJack unit.  Police computers automatically send radio signals from a radio tower that are detected by the LoJack unit, which in turn emits a uniquely coded signal directly to the police.  The police then track this signal to locate the stolen vehicle, usually within 2 hours, and the stolen vehicle is then returned to the original owner.
